A GREAT LITTLE POCKET CAMERA. ITS GREATEST FEATURE IS ITS PETIT SIZE. COMBINE THIS WITH EASE OF USE AND DECENT PICTURE QUALITY AND YOU HAVE A CAMERA YOU WILL TAKE WITH YOU AND USE.

I have always used Canon cameras- loved them all and this one is no exception. I love the color of the camera, image quality, ease of use, and best of all the HD movie function. The cameras image quality is very good and has good low light performance with the added bonus of the Image Stabilization. The startup time is fast, and time from shot to shot is fast as well. The camera is easy to use, but the smaller buttons take some getting used to. In addition, I find myself holding the camera a little awkwardly because of my big hands and the cameras small size- but I chose a small camera! Overall, great!

The SD1400IS is my 3rd Canon power shot, so I am obviously a huge fan. Each time I decide to upgrade, I am instantly impressed with the improvements and wonder why I waited so long. This camera continues Canon's history of excellent performance and ease of use. It would take someone completely unfamiliar with a Canon about ten minutes to figure out how to use all the features. What I especially like are the 14.1 MP's, the size (very small) and the weight (extremely light). Oddly, the viewing area is huge, so the size has not affected the ability to frame pictures clearly and easily. This Canon is perfect to take on trips, to sporting events, anywhere that you want to be ready to take picture but don't want to lug anything heavy or cumbersome. It easily fits in a pocket.
This is also a great camera for the technologically challenged. The camera does all the figuring for you -- unless you want to put the controls on manual and figure things for yourself.

This camera was perfect for taking on vacation, it fit right in my pocket, or when in the case, it was attached to my belt. I was able to take it everywhere, and the pics are very nice, the zoom works well, particularly up to 4X, but gets slightly grainy after that. Very nice camera for the price, would highly recommend.
